Enterprise Credit Union - Young Savers Application Form

It is never too early to introduce your children to saving. By opening an account with ECU, you can give them a positive start in life and build up a lump sum for their future. To be a full member of ECU you need to be 18 or over so the Young Saver Account is different to an adult account but is changed to a full member account on reaching the age of 18 at which time all the same facilities will be available.

How it works: The account is opened by a Trustee, usually a parent or grandparent. The Trustee must be an existing member and will run the account on behalf of the young saver until they reach 18. Savings can be added in the same ways as a full member and will earn interest.

If the Trustee wishes, control of the account can be passed to the Young Saver from the age of 11.
